Sunwize Designer Lighting Systems use solar technology to provide automatic, low-maintenance lighting fueled by the sun. These high efficiency systems maximize the lighting intensity and coverage areas. They are perfect for parking lots, marinas, and school ground security lighting.

Using solar for all or part of your home's electrical needs makes sense. Utility tied solar electric systems are less expensive than ever and can reduce the amount of electricity you purchase from your local utility. You can sell excess electricity to your utility. This is called net metering. You will be producing reliable, clean power that reduces the burning of fossil fuels to contribute to a healthier environment. Solar electric systems are quiet, operate automatically, require very little maintenance and need no fuel except sunshine!

Commonwealth Solar provides rebates through a non-competitive application process for the installation of photovoltaic (PV) projects at residential, commercial, industrial, institutional, and public facilities. The Applicant (and project site) must be a customer of a Massachusetts investor-owned electric distribution utility. The rebates are based on the size and other characteristics of the PV project. The goal of Commonwealth Solar is to have 250 Megawatts of PV installed by 2017.

At North Shore Solar & Windpower we sell and install wind turbines from three companies, which are Southwest Windpower, Bergey Windpower and Entegrity Wind Systems.

Southwest Windpower's Skystreem 3.7 is a breakthrough in a new generation of RPAs (Residential Power Appliances) that will change the energy landscape of how homes and small businesses receive electricity. Skystream is the first fully integrated system that produces energy for less than the average cost of electricity in the United States and it produces quiet, clean electricity in very low winds. The Skystream 3.7 is rated at 1.9KW.

Bergey Windpower's BWC Excel 10KW. Class wind turbine is a rugged and reliable small wind turbine that has been proven in hundreds of installations around the world. It comes from the world's leading manufacturer of small wind turbines. Connected to the grid, the BWC EXCEL can provide most of the electricity for an average home at moderate wind sites. The all new GridTek 10 power processor (inverter) is the most advanced in the industry and it carries a full UL certitication to the latest utility standards.

Entegrity Wind Systems is a leading manufacturer of intermediate scale wind turbines with installations worldwide. The EW15, a 50KW wind turbine generator, is specifically designed to supplement electric power generation for large buildings, industrial complexes, schools, large farms, municipal services facilities, communities and remote locations. The EW15 is an ideal investment to combat rising utility rates by enabling owners to secure their costs for electrical energy now against higher future costs. The EW15 has a thirty year design life and is very easy to operate and maintain.
